The Mining Room

Display in the Mining Room taken by Tony Evans

The Mining Room tells the story of mining of gold in the area. It especially tells the story of the worst gold mining disaster when 22 men lost their lives in 1882. The only known artefact from the mine disaster is on display - the Clifton Billy. Three came out of the mine with messages for their love ones. Click image of mine for more information.
